This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit this website or contact me, why I collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. I have written it in plain language on purpose. If something is unclear, email me at info@saizul.com.

This website (a blog about web development, SEO, digital marketing and online growth) is operated by Saizul Amin, an individual professional based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. For the purposes of data-protection law, I am the data controller for personal information collected through saizulamin.com.

2. Information I collect

Information you give me

• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email address (and name, if you give it), handled through the MailPoet plugin on this site.
• Emails: anything you send me by email, including your contact details.
• Comments: if you comment on a blog post, your name, email address, website (optional), the comment itself and your IP address.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, referring page, pages viewed, time on page and approximate location (city or country level).
• Security and server logs: requests to the site, failed login attempts and blocked threats, kept to protect the website.
• Cookie and advertising identifiers: described in sections 4 and 5.

I do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health, religion or government ID numbers) through this website. Please do not send it in forms or comments.

3. How I use it and why

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

This website uses Google AdSense to display ads, mainly on blog articles. Please note:

• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

I do not control the ads that Google selects, and I never ask or encourage visitors to click on ads.

6. Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, connected through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand traffic and improve content. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

7. Who I share data with

I share personal information only with service providers who help me run the website and my business, under their own privacy terms and only as needed:

• Hosting and infrastructure: my virtual private server and backup storage providers (servers in the European Union; backups are encrypted).
• Email: Zoho Mail and Google services used to send and receive your messages.
• Google: Analytics, Tag Manager, AdSense and Site Kit.
• Security: security plugins process IP addresses to detect and block attacks and brute-force login attempts.
• Newsletter: subscriber data is stored in this site’s database via MailPoet.
• Advisers and authorities: accountants, lawyers or public authorities where the law requires or to protect legal rights.

I do not sell your personal information to anyone.

8. International transfers

I am based in Bangladesh, the site is hosted in the European Union, and some providers (including Google) process data in other countries, including the United States. Where personal data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, I rely on the safeguards used by my providers, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. How long I keep data

• Messages and enquiries: for as long as needed to respond, and generally no longer than 24 months after our last contact unless a contract or the law requires longer.
• Comments and newsletter data: until you ask me to remove them or you unsubscribe.
• Invoices and accounting records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• Analytics and advertising data: according to the retention settings in those tools (Google Analytics is set to its standard retention period).
• Security logs and backups: rotated regularly; older backups are deleted on a schedule.

10. Security

I protect the site with HTTPS, a firewall and malware protection, access controls, regular updates, monitoring and encrypted backups. No online service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but I work to reduce risk and will notify affected people and regulators where the law requires if a breach occurs.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of your personal data and for information about how it is used;
• ask me to correct inaccurate data or delete data I no longer need;
• restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect earlier processing);
• lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (for example the UK ICO or an EU supervisory authority);
• US residents (for example California, Virginia and other states with privacy laws): know what is collected, correct or delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information. I do not sell personal information, and I will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To use any of these rights, email info@saizul.com. I may need to verify your identity first and will reply within a reasonable time (normally within 30 days).

12. Children

This website is intended for a general and business audience and is not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact me and I will delete it.

13. Links to other sites

Articles and pages may link to third-party websites, tools and services. I am not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

14. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when my practices, tools or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.

15. Contact
